About the World Kungfu Federation (WKF)
The World Kungfu Federation (WKF) is a globally respected non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization that brings together traditional and modern Kungfu styles under one united banner. We are dedicated to promoting, preserving, and regulating Kungfu as a martial art, a competitive sport, and a cultural heritage.
Our federation connects martial artists, coaches, referees, and national federations around the world — creating a powerful platform for development, education, and international cooperation.
Our Mission
To serve Kungfu globally by:
- Promoting all styles of traditional and modern Kungfu.
- Organizing international championships and cultural events.
- Supporting national federations with training, certification, and resources.
- Building a professional and amateur fighting circuit for athletes.

What We Do
We provide a comprehensive global structure for all aspects of Kungfu:
Competitions
- Organize and sanction amateur and professional championships.
- Recognize three systems of fighting:
- Sports Kungfu (Under-18, Under-16, Under-14)
- Combat/Kombat Kungfu (18+ full-contact)
- Pro Kungfu (Elite fighters with verified fight history)
Records & Rankings
- Maintain a centralized database of fighter records.
- Establish a ranking system for amateur and pro athletes.
- Grade practitioners through standardized belt/sash systems.
Certifications
- Certify referees, judges, coaches, and athletes globally.
- Offer technical seminars and instructor development courses.
Support for Members
- Provide official event materials (rulebooks, scorecards, certificates, branding).
- Assist federations and clubs in hosting and promoting their events.
- Offer international exposure via WKF media and marketing channels.
